Tarrant Community Service Organizations: Who They Are, What They Do

Course Description

This course will describe the missions and activities of local non-profit community service organizations. They greatly help our community, but many are not as well-known as national and international organizations. Their successes and needs for community support, funding, and volunteers will also be discussed. Literature and contact points for each organization will be available. Each of the four class sessions will focus on a different client group, such as children's support, family stability, adult support, and plants/animals/environment. You will leave the course with a better understanding of what they do and how these organizations benefit our community.

Please note: this course requires membership in Silver Frogs Membership Fall 2019
