Certified Public Communicator© Program: 2020 Cohort

Course Description

The Certified Public Communicator© Program at TCU offers leadership training and rigorous post-baccalaureate education for public information managers and communication professionals working for cities, counties, school districts, and other public and public-private agencies and organizations. With the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers as a partner, the program encompasses the complexities, challenges, and importance of public communication to citizens and stakeholders. This program is intended for professionals with a bachelor's degree; exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The cost for the 95-hour program—including tuition, hotel lodging, meals, and course materials for two summers—is $4,250.00

Summer 2020 Dates: Sunday, July 17 - Friday, July 24. January 2021 and Summer 2021 dates TBD.

Registration Information

Certification program fee: $4,250.00 (includes hotel lodging, some meals). There are two payment plan options:
Option 1--a $500 deposit is required to hold your space and your balance of $3,750 will be due by June 1, 2020

Option 2--you can make two 50% payments of $2,125 in two fiscal years with the first payment due June 1, 2020 and the final payment being made by October 1, 2020.  Please contact TCU Extended Education at 817-257-7132 for the two fiscal year option.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

Program cancellations must be made in writing (electronic or hard-copy) to TCU’s Office of Extended Education. Cancellations will forfeit a $500 administrative fee. Cancellations will be accepted up until one month prior to the start of the program (June 17, 2020). No refunds will be made after this date. Program registrations are transferable to another individual up until the start of the program. No transfers can be made once the program begins.

For individuals using the 50/50 payment option, final balance due October 1, 2019. Cancellations will forfeit the $500 non-refundable deposit. Program registrations are transferable to another individual up until the start of the program. No transfers can be made once the program begins.
