Retirement 101: You Won't Believe What You Don't Know

Course Description

Retirement is probably one of the most important financial goals you'll ever have, and there's a lot to know and do well before you get close. We'll identify retirement needs and develop strategies to prepare for and live the retirement life you want. We'll discuss trade-offs between risk and return, portfolio transitions and the different tax treatments of specific investments and account types. Discussions on Social Security, Medicare, life insurance and estate planning will also be included. Whether you're already retired or still working, this class is for you. Recommended (but not required) prerequisite: "Investing Foundations: Investments in Plain English."
