Investing Foundations: Investments in Plain English

Course Description

Learn the basics of investing in a fun, easily understandable way. Knowing how investments work and what your investments are helps you maintain financial control. Topics include interest rates, tax brackets vs. income tax effective rate, bonds, stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, UITs, diversification, allocating, risk capacity, rebalancing and portfolio evaluation, IRAs and whatever else comes up. You'll leave with a significant understanding and actionable items that you can use to improve your financial wellbeing. Your best investment is knowledge! This class should precede the Retirement 101 class, but it is not required.
