Eggceptional Art: Making Pysanky, the Ukrainian Easter Egg

Course Description

Time will fly by as you learn about Pysanky, the Ukrainian Easter egg. Learn the history of Batiq, one of the world's oldest art forms, in which beeswax and dyes create incredibly intricate and colorful patterns on real eggshells. You'll discover basic techniques and shortcuts for creating these beautiful eggs and even make one of your own. Passed from mother to daughter for countless generations, Pysanky is a simple, inexpensive family activity that's great for kids. Come learn how to start a new tradition. Tuition includes $25 supply fee.
