LEGO Pet-Bots: Grades 1 - 2

Course Description

Create interactive, moving LEGO® Pet-Bots such as Cat-Bots, Dog-Bots and Orangutan-Bots using LEGO®'s WeDo® System. Utilize this ground breaking simple system to power up your LEGO® creations with plug-N-play motors, switches and sensors. The simple drag and drop interface allows students to learn the basics of computer programming while having fun controlling their creations.

LEGO® Pet-Bots is one of a two-workshop pair with LEGO® Nano-Bots. Both workshops engage young students as they construct interactive, mechanized LEGO® characters using simple software to animate them. Students learn about human-computer interaction, motors, sensors, levers, logic and robotics. Project themes include small pets and animals which are not included in the counterpart workshop, LEGO® Nano-Bots. Both can be taken without overlap.
