TCU Summer Flute Workshop

Course Description

This two-day workshop will include group master classes and performance sessions, chamber music opportunities, discussions of flute solo music, tone development through extended techniques, and end with a group recital. The first day will feature a recital by TCU Flute Professor Dr. Shauna Thompson. Applicants must have at least 2 years playing experience and provide a letter of recommendation from their current teacher or band director.

SMI Auditors are non-participants who must be 18 years or older. A list of hotels will be provided to auditors needing overnight accommodations.

*Overnight participants will need to bring a bed sheet, blanket, pillow and towel. *Refund Policy: TCU reserves the right to cancel any program due to low pre-registration. Full tuition will be refunded if the class is cancelled by TCU. Registrations must be submitted by June 22, 2019 In the event that you have to cancel your registration, submit written notice to the Office of Extended Education. However, due to commitments to faculty and facility arrangements, applicants who withdraw after June 22, 2019 will forfeit all fees. No refund can be made if the participant is suspended, dismissed, or leaves the University without formally withdrawing, nor can any prorated reduction be made for temporary absence from the Workshop.
