Art History 101: Art to See in Your Lifetime

Course Description

This course provides an overview of Western art, highlighting pivotal works that every art-lover should know. We'll also cover works that aren't traditionally considered "masterpieces" but are nonetheless important because of their cultural relevance, innovation or sheer aesthetic beauty. In each session, we'll view a collection of artistic works, moving chronologically from prehistoric times to the present day. We'll also explore significant works that are on display across Texas.
