Digital Photography: Fossil Rim Wildlife Expedition

Course Description

This is an on-site class at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, Texas (approximately 56 miles from the TCU campus). Plan to meet at the park at 1:30pm then embark on the tour at 3:00pm. Participants will meet in a classroom first and then go into the park for a personalized 4-hour guided tour to capture great wildlife photos. The Photography Tour lets the photographer catch the dusk light, which is the best light possible for afternoon photos. The tour will go through Fossil Rim's ~1,700-acre pastures. There are 59 species of animals at Fossil Rim. Some of the animals that may be photographed are: white rhinoceros, blackbuck, European red deer, gemsbok, zebra, addax, waterbuck, giraffe, sable antelope, axis deer, and addra gazelle, just to name a few. Class size is limited to 7 participants. Plan on a full day, transportation to and from Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and food are the responsibilities of each participant. This course is not eligible for discounts. Prerequisite: Digital Photography I for DSLR or a very good working knowledge of your DSLR in the "Manual" settings.

Course registrations cancelled one week or less in advance of the start of the class will not be refunded, but fees, less a $25.00 administrative fee, can be applied to another class within one year. Courses cancelled by TCU will be refunded 100%.
